If you want to have better skin start with the basics.
Cleansing and moisturizing your skin twice a day (morning and night) is a great start. By cleansing your skin with a quality cleanser, you remove dirt, bacteria, dead skin cells, built up oils and other elements, allowing your skin to breath, and clearing the path for a moisturizer to do its job. A cleanser that is effective, mild and non-drying is key as you do not want to make the moisturizer work harder than needed. Moisturizers provide your skin with hydration, humectants and anti oxidants, keeping it hydrated and neutralizing free radicals. A morning and night cleansing/moisturizing routine is a simple, and effective way to protect and nourish your skin on a regular basis.

Exfoliating your skin periodically is a great way to keep your skin looking bright and healthy by removing the buildup of old, dead skin cells from the top layer of your skin.
Many scrub products have been marketed to accomplish this using a variety of ingredients to either chemically remove or loosen the dead cells or remove them physically, literally "scrubbing" them off. Scrubs contain ingredients like volcanic ash, crushed fruit pits and seeds and other physical scrubbing agents that can get into your eyes and make life difficult. Here's the good news. YOU DON'T NEED A SCRUB. That;s right ! To effectively exfoliate your skin all you need is a small, soft terry cloth towel and a good cleanser. Start by washing your face and leaving it wet. Next, wet the terry cloth towel and apply the cleanser to the towel. Work the cleanser into the towel. Then you simply rub the towel on your face GENTLY in a circular fashion. When you have treated your face simply rinse your face. Congratulations ! You just exfoliated your skin without an expensive, difficult to use scrub product. Have a great day ! |
